Before I get started on what’s been happening recently I must say a HUGE congratulations to Kathleen Kootstra our competition winner from the Mossvale Park market competition held last Sunday the 17th of January. Kathleen will be enjoying a glamping trip with us soon using her $100 Prom Coast Eco Glamping gift voucher. Congrats Kathleen 🙂
Wow, what a couple of weeks it’s been! There’s no go slow here, it’s all full steam ahead. If any of you were fortunate enough to get along to the Mossvale Park market last Sunday the 17th you would know what an amazing day it was to be there amongst the throng of things. The heat was turned up both temperature wise and in terms of stall quality. Beautiful wares from all around Gippsland and beyond. We felt really lucky to be there with so many friendly stall holders and eager customers. Our 5m Lotus Belle tent did not disappoint on the day, she stood tall and proud inviting everyone in to enjoy her beauty and her luxurious decor. We were very proud and grateful to all those who came to visit, including our fellow stall holders and creative business entrepreneurs whose support, excitement and encouragement for what we’re doing is invaluable. And the feedback and online support after the market has been outstanding. Thank you!
It was a busy time preparing for the Mossavale market so Matt and I decided to mix a little bit of business with pleasure and escape to Tarra Bulga National Park for some RnR and a meet and greet with the lovely people at the award winning Tarra Valley Caravan Park “Fernholme”. What an amazing place! It was like stepping off the grid into another world. It reminded me of something you might find in Lord of the Rings; stunningly beautiful, hidden away, a land and a place of its own holding treasures and stories, some probably never told.
Dave and Vicki were our hosts, along with the amazing gathering of ferns that edged their way up the hillside above the Parks quirky and cute little office. And opposite there were tables and chairs under umbrellas ready for the next camper, or glamper, to rest their weary limbs and enjoy Dave’s famous scones with jam and cream. Yum! All this with a trickling stream in the background, tiny birds of all colours and descriptions jumping around and the sun gently beaming down through the tall gums and natives. What a pleasure it was to be there, and such a special experience to stay in the bell tent. Laying inside on our comfy bed looking up to the point of the pitched roof it was so relaxing and comfortable. Plus we had the standalone hammock all set up under a shady tree, esky on hand to enjoy our lovely produce from Aherns and local cider from The Meeniyan Store. And boy did the tent get some attention! We met some lovely people who wanted to view the belly of our tent all glammed up after they had spent time admiring her curves from the outside. Naturally they walked away with brochures in hand ready to spread the word about our business.
Now that we’ve come back down to earth, and mobile reception, we’re getting busy attending to bookings, preparing a space in our shed specially for the cleaning and maintenance of our beautiful tents and also, and this is the fun part, shopping for the interior of our new 4m SoulPad bell tent. The last Mossvale market helped with this thanks to Wolf and Yarzz, Sweet Afton Creative, and Teek and Gus just to name a few. When we do the next photo shoot for the 4m we’ll reveal the interior. So stay tuned! In the meantime you can enjoy the pics we’ve added to our Tarra Valley Caravan Park Page of our time spent at Fernholme, Tarra Valley.
Oh, and just in case you had forgotten it’s Valentines Day soon and the tent bookings are filing in so book book book if you’re keen for a glamping getaway sometime soon. We have four gorgeous locations to choose from, or you can allocate your own private land be it yours or someone you know.
See you soon xo
